Online Stock Brokers

E*TRADE is my stock broker of choice.  They have 2 different platforms that are both available for computers and mobile devices.  I find both platforms to be equally user-friendly, and you can easily switch between platforms to discover which one best fits your trading style.  I also like that they offer a Paper Trading account, where you can try different strategies to see if it could be profitable before you try it with real money.

I'm also a fan of Fidelity.  Their site is simple to navigate and easy to trade stocks, ETFs, and options.

I can't recommend Schwab.  For me, trading options was too much work and they didn't provide enough information on the screen to make a well-informed decision on prices.

I also can't recommend Robinhood.  I do not have and have never had an account w/ Robinhood, but they currently do not offer IRAs.  My long-term plan involves a taxable brokerage account as well as a Roth IRA.
